Lol, no, I think Hammerstein and Schönberg & Boublil deserve a theatre named after them.

If this is a suggestion for new sandwiches at the Carnegie Deli, I'm all for it. Let's dream cast what meats and cheeses we'd like to see as a part of each sandwich.

Omg haha you're so funny! Haha omg such a jokester omg you crack me up! Such a funny guy oh my word!
I seriously love The Stritch. I think there are other names that should have greater priority, but that'd just be a terrific name for a theater.
Also I don't understand how the Majestic hasn't been renamed the Lloyd Webber. I'm not saying I think it should happen, but how hasn't it?
If I could name one, though, I guess my first choice would be the Kander & Ebb, though if it were up to me the Rodgers would become the Rodgers & Hammerstein.

I would hate to see them rename the Majestic Theater.

She hasn't done a lot of Broadway, and I know that, and I still think Barbara Cook should have a theatre named after her.

What a great thread! Play write wise there is no question it could be Williams, or Miller. I think without a doubt that the Richard Rogers should become the RR and Oscar Hammerstein long long past due. It would be inspiring to enter a Comden and Green, a Cander and Ebb, and/or and Irving Berlin.
I think it'd be cool to honor Alan Menken with a theater. He's not all Broadway, but he's definitely significantly impacted musical theater.
Is anybody really ALL broadway? I mean its kind of impossible lol
and i didn't know george m cohan had theaters named after him. Which ones were they? and why did they rename them??

When I posted my previous message, I'm embarrassed that I left out one of my all-time favorite composers, who I feel would deserve a theater named after him: Cy Coleman.

The houses named after Cohan were both razed. One of them was where Madame Tussaud's is now located.
The Ed Sullivan Theater was originally named after Oscar Hammerstein (I, not II).
The Coleman Theatre does have a nice ring to it.
