Singers with personalities...... not personalities that can't sing (Melanie Griffith, Kathie Lee Gifford). Now that's a concept!

Thanks Theatre8, I am quite pleased with my list as well. Seriously, the "talent" on Bway has become more and more substandard by the minute, or rather, the hiring!

Also, before anyone gets on me about not mentioning Alice, Emily et all, I'm listing people who haven't been on Bway, (in what seems like), a long time. Perhaps it's by choice but IMO, these are people who are sorely missed and badly needed. And I know that most of the people on my list have been off Bway recently and sometimes, consistently but why? Why aren't they in big shows, playing big roles? It's ridiculous.

THEY WOULD BE NICE TOO: Christine Baranski (but I think we can kiss that one goodbye since her new show seems to be doing well)and Kerry O'Malley

Someone needs to write a show for Brent Barrett. The man has been a second-stringer or replacement for far too long.

I was kinda hoping for both BOUNCE and WONDERFUL TOWN. Oh well.

Ditto Brad Oscar. Another glorious voice.

And to my surprise, I agree about Lupone. I have to admit I was never a fan of hers but after hearing her EVITA more than a few times last summer, she really was quite something. And how can I not love a broad who has no bones about raking it in on Ebay! (See the NY Times article tomorrow for more on that...)

Stanley Tucci and Edie Falco need to be on stage again soon.
