Who do you think should REALLY play Effie in the Dreamgirls Movie?

Now Fanstasia can sang...yep that's right sang not sing, but who would you like to see Effie in the Dreamgirls movie?

Personally and I don't know how many of you all know her but KELLY PRICE...could play Effie..she can act and she has a voice out of this world.

Who would you want?

My friend Victoria, who auditioned and got a callback. She should definitely play Effie.

Tonya doesn't now and didn't when she was younger have the range to play Effie.

I'd love to see the producers take a chance and find a knock out unknown.

Well put, Margo.

I'd really like to see Jennifer Hudson take a crack at this role, but not in the movie. I'd really like to see her in a regional production though, se if she's any better that Frenchie was when I saw her in Pittsburgh.

This question is very difficult to answer, as no one weill ever be as good as Jennifer Holiday. Lillias White wasn't, (though still pretty damn kick-ass)and what's really bad is the fact that no one will probably ever better than Lillias either.

Expect for maybe a miraculous unknown. Go miraculous unknown.

There have been so many ideas thrown out there that I really don't know anymore. I think that Condon will probably make a good choice.

Yes, Effie sings "AND I AM TELLING YOU"

Do you think Tonya could do that song?

She shows quite some range in "Black is a Moocher"
