Who is the next Elphaba standby?

If last night was Saycon's last night (and Brandi's last night), then who is the new standby? Or was it not their last night? ...

Are you talking about Wicked playing on Broadway? Because I saw it this summer, and the woman who played Elpheba was NOT great!

Excuse me IMGOINGTOBEFAMOUS! - That comment was rude and unrelated to this thread.

I read somewhere (I think on this site; although nothing official has been announced) that Brandi might be leaving to play Nala in Lion King.

I remember reading that too, although I thought for some reason it was in one of the road companies.

I don't think there was ever any announcement about new cast members other than Ana Gasteyer.

re: Who is the next Elphaba standby?

I read about Brandi possibly doing LK as Nala in a thread here on BWW, and it was very much a rumor. The poster didn't even go as far as to say she was doing it... they just said she was up for it (which could have just been an educated guess since she played the role in London.) She has also been mentioned as in contention for Shug Avery in TCP, so who knows.

I am a friend of Saycon's, and can assure everyone she is still in the show. Don't know where all those rumors saying she left started (they've been all over the internet since Sunday,) but she is most deffinetly still there.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

Dottie-Is there any explanation for having the runaway bride as your avatar?
One time, Patti LuPone punched me in the face...

It was awesome.

Thanks for clearing that up sSomethingwicked.

Raviolisun: to answer your question, the runaway beyotch is suing her former fiance and I thought it was appropriate to change my avatar for the occasion. I also have a "runaway bride toast" avatar, too.
