WatchMojo.com makes the lists...I've seen a lot o their videos but never seen this one.
I like that they say that you will like WICKED "Even if you don't like the [Wizard of Oz] film" as if anybody doesn't like that movie.
Anyone that WANTS to make up a list. Doesn't give it any truth.
Cats? CATS??
You'd almost think they make lists stupid on purpose to get posters to forward in enraged indignation. But that couldn't be it.
In case you want an actually good list of the greatest Broadway musicals from people who know what they are talking about, I would recommend Broadway Musicals: The 101 Greatest Shows of All Time by Ken Bloom and Frank Vlastnik
Though I would recommend not getting the revised and updated version as it includes some ridiculous additions.
I think Gypsy and Book of Mormon should be added to this list.
I know someone who hates The Wizard Of Oz. She'd hate WICKED even more though.
Though I would recommend not getting the revised and updated version as it includes some ridiculous additions.
So it's sort of a good list of some of the greatest Broadway musicals from people who used to know what they were talking about until they added shows I didn't like?

No, it was a perfect list until they revised and updated it (unnecessarily).
"Sorry but this list is stupid "
So why are you taking the time to create a thread about it and publicize it even more so others will read it. Here's a revolutionary concept... JUST IGNORE IT.

Maybe she saw the Wizard of Oz as a child and was scared?
I honestly cant think of anyone I know who doesn't like it, whether they watched it as a kid or as an adult the first time!
I unashamedly LOVE it :)
Which Wizard of Oz character are you?
She has a deep hatred for musicals of any kind. She once said that ANNIE would have been good if it weren't for all the songs (I think she meant the '82 movie though, in which case the songs were the least of the problems).
Btw: I took that quiz and I was the Wicked Witch.
Your friend sounds like my dad, Mr. Nowack. He bought tickets (sometimes even taking me) to musical theater in the 1960s because that's when theater was considered "high culture". But then he would fidget through all the musical numbers.
I think he's tone deaf.
