Has a Wizard for the LA run of Wicked been cast/announced? Noticed that they're starting in a few weeks (end of January?)...one would think it would have been announced already. Did I miss anything?
Although I am sure the role has been cast, it has not yet been announced who will be playing it.
David Garrison has extended his contract with the Broadway company through June, so it won't be him.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
I have only seen Joel and Garrison(who i don't like in the role) But Ben would surely bring the right personality. I just hear he is fragile and They love Him but not sure if he can do the schedule.
curtaindownpuller- the schedule didn't seem to phase ben much on broadway or chicago so i doubt it will in LA. I'm secretly pulling for Sean McCourt, since i loved his take on the wizard or hell how 'bout James Naughton

Sean Mc Court is A great performer But this is a chance for a "star" turn and i hope Ben can cut it. Wouldn't Dick be perfect The dancing, singing and acting?
