Who saw Sally Field in THE GOAT?

And...WHERE IS SHE??????

I checked IMDB and she hasn't done a movie since Legally Blonde 2...although she finally has one coming up this year.

How was she in THE GOAT? I didn't get to see her although I feel she would be brilliant in an Albee play.

I would love for her to come back to Broadway and create a role.

I saw her in The Goat. Her acting was great and the play was a nightmare...in the scary sense.

She and Bill Irwin were brilliant and totally outclassed the predacessors, Mercedes Ruehl and Bill Pullman.

Ms. Field was also superb last summer in the Kennedy Center production of THE GLASS MENAGERIE.

I saw Sally Field and Bill Irwin in The Goat, and thought they were both wonderful. I didn't see Pullman and Rehul, so I can't really compare the two pairs.

Sally Field was amazing in The Goat. I completely disagree that she"totally outclassed" Mercedes Ruehl. Mercedes was unbelievable in the role. I would say Mercedes was stronger....

i agree..ms. fields and mr. irwin were tremendous...you expect a great deal from sally field..well the night i saw her..you gor much more than you bargained for...that was when the tony for replacement should have been given.

I saw her and thought she gave an excellent performance. She wasn't better than Mercedes Ruehl, but Ruehl wasn't better than Sally. They just had different ideas about the role and so made different choices.

I saw both Mercedes and Sally in the role and thought Sally's performance was funnier and more frightening as the play developed, especially the final scene, the look on her face was maniacal.

I was fortunate enough to see both actresses in the role. As others have said, I cant say one was better than the other--they were both simply stunning. I think Ms. Ruehl was more suited to the role, but the fact that Ms. Field was not particularly a perfect *type* for the role did indeed make her progression into the anger/hurt/violence much more frightening and, to me, more believable. I was sitting on the second row for Ms. Field's performance so I was able to see every flinch and facial expression, and I will say that this woman COMPLETELY embodied the character. Ms. Field was nothing short of genius in the role. She was right up there with Edie Falco in Frankie & Johnny as my favorite performances.

I thought Sally Field was wonderful. And my understanding is that she is doing alot of regional theater throughout the country. I guess at this point in her career she can just do what she wants and not be too concerned about a hollywood paycheck.

I had the pleasure of seeing Ms. Field in the role in her very first performance of "The Goat...". I didn't see Ms. Ruehl in the part but I thought Ms. Field was BRILLIANT. She really got into her character and was able to pull off every emotion perfectly. Her whole scene throwing plates and everything after her character receives the letter was flawless. She was able to combine so many emotions in that scene....it was a great sight to see.

Plus.....she was so incredible after the show....VERY NICE TO FANS.
