me.
Who sat right in front of Sondheim last night?
Me.
Wow. Is that a pic of Russ Tamblyn? Cause if so, Amber really looks like Dad.
What is Sondheim like.
I saw him at Playwrights Horizons but did not have the nerve to talk to him.
LOL.

Do some realize how lucky they are?
Sondheim was seeing Dame Edna last night?

who had dinner with him a few months ago?
ok, so there were fifty or so other people. but it was in a very small living room, and I was with him the majority of the time.
NOT that i'd want to compete. : )- (that's a smily with a tongue)
It was surreal breathing the same air as the man who wrote music for Gypsy, Sunday In the Park, Follies, Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods, Assassins and so many others.
I only wish StickToPriest was there so he could have seen him, too.

isn't it phenomenal? he is such a sharp, clever man even in his increasing age.
I am SO jealous.
On a related note, when I went to go see "The Music Man" revival, Nathan Lane was there and I got to shake his hand.
I am SO mad! I walked by Sondheim, just the two of us on w. 66th street, as he was going to a Frogs rehearsal. I was terrified and just smiled. But i later learn on here that's he's very nice and friendly. Please don't die until i meet you Stephen.
Baritone-then we were there the same night!
Rath-Yes, that's Russ.
Jealous! I want to meet him!
Just to clarify, Sondheim did not write the music to Gypsy (lyrics only). That job was left up to Mr. Styne because of the demands of Ms. Merman.
Thanks Shbrt. Would have been weird if Amber bore such a strong resemblance to another Riff...

Who was recently in his S&M bondage room in his basement? Not me.
I was attending a production of Sweeney Todd in May at the Derby Playhouse in England. It was very fortunate for me because Stephen Sondheim was in attendence. I was shocked because I read some where that he doesnt like to attend his own shows. I over heard somebody say that he was there to support his good friend Jenny Galloway who was performing as Lovett. The show was amazing, one of the best productions of the show I've seen. At the end everybody gave a standing ovation with special recognition to Sondheim himself. It was one of the best theatre experiences of my life.
"Please don't die until i meet you Stephen."
Now, was that really necessary?
And dammit, you are all lucky bastards.
it's OK Priest...you'll get your chance!
I was at the final performance of A Little Night Music in LA and I heard Sondheim was in attendance, but I didn't see him. Maybe I did, but I very bad at recognizing people!
who can live without a Sondheim sighting? .....me. just teasing...he's an incredibly talented fellow, but puts his hose on like everyone else. Glad you all enjoyed him so much....

Of course Sondheim is an "incredibly talented fellow", but we all know that PB ENT prefers the melodies of Frank Wildhorn, right? Now THAT's m-u-s-i-c!!!!!!!!

If your preferences in composers is "none of my beeswax" (what a quaint phrase!), then why are you posting it on the internet?
Inquiring minds want to know.
I love Sondheim. Updated On: 12/10/04 at 11:58 PM
