Dennis O' Hare as Bazzard
Raul Esparza as Jasper (I like Brian D'Arcy James as well!)
Roger Bart as The Chairman...does he HAVE to be old?

Oooooohh, Reg! The Moonlight Quartet is definitely one of my favorite tracks. Although the first song I committed to memory when I bought the cassette in 1988 was No Good Can Come From Bad. I then bought the CD release with all the endings and was thrilled to have a compilation of the two recordings to include all the recorded tracks.
Sadly, I have never seen the show.

I saw the original production in Central Park; never caught it on Broadway.
I did see it at the Shaw Festival a few years ago. A friend who hadn't seen it on Bway but was obsessed with the album (and the Tony's medley) insisted we go. It really did hold up.

I saw it twice on Broadway. The first time... GREAT! The second time (over a year later)... not so much.
The cast and their chemistry with the audience as well as each other is critical. It's everything actually.
This is a British "saloon" show. A "Music Hall."
It's all about the personalities on stage and how they interact and connect with the audience.
If you can assemble a killer (no pun intended) cast, you've got it made.
But the cast was tired when I saw it the second time (with Donna Murphy, Karen Morrow and a very tired George Rose), and it was really in need of Geritol.
The first time with the full OBC, it was magic!
I think a revival would do very well with the right people in it.
