Who will be the new Tanya?

I was speaking with Jeanine Morrick yesterday, and she told me that the new lady coming into to Mamma Mia! as Tanya is amazing. So I guess they've already picked someone, but does anyone know who it will be? I was so upset when Karen Mason left the show, but Jeanine has really made the part her own, and even improved on some of the scenes... This new girl has some BIG shoes to fill!

I saw Carol Linnea Johnson, I think thats her name, from full monty etc. and she was AMAZING. She should take over.

If you thought Carol was great, you should see the other cover, Summer perform the role! We had a bunch of drunk ladies from Phiezfer (The pharmacy company, however you spell that) in the audience, and Summer had them roaring.

I'm going to answer my own question for anyone who cares... The "new" Tanya will be the tours departed Tanya, Mary Ellen Mahoney. She was at the Winter Garden today according to my source, "rehearsing"... I wonder when Jeanine leaves?

If I'm not mistaken, Mary Ellen Mahoney is also the original Tanya from Toronto. She was a riot.

maybe she will leave on the 19th of october too? i love morrick!!! i'll miss her but she deserves this chance cause her donna is incredible.

Which tour was she in. I hope she was from the Monique Lund tour. That woman was amazing. Btw, I'm still bitter that Monique isn't going to B-way with the role!

Mahoney was on tour 1 with Pitre and Hoty as Donna. Ellen Harvey is Tanya in the Lund cast.
