I think I read somewhere that a deaf four year-old loved it.

Cool. I can understand anyone loving Memphis, although I think the themes in Memphis might be a bit adult for someone that age. I am sure they were taken by the extraordinary performances, dancing and designs, to name a few of Memphis' exemplary aspects.

Glenn Beck gave it a rave on his show last week, also

Although it scares me to agree with Glenn Beck on anything, I guess I have to own that we have one thing in common and be thankful, it's only one thing and it's the appreciation of this wonderful show.

I saw the show during it's out-of-town tryout in La Jolla last year, and I just thought it was okay. The music wasn't very memorable, the book was thin, however I thought everyone in the cast, especially Montego Glover, was extremely talented.

But then again, they may have changed things when they moved to Broadway. Although that could be for better or for worse. I mean, Cry Baby was amazing in La Jolla, but they changed it too much for Broadway, and not for the better, in my opinion. Still one of my favorites, though. re: Whoopi Goldberg raves about 'Memphis'
