You are right it isnt playing in the UK. Yet. I said the West End "WILL ACCEPT". Note the tense! But that is hardly the point.
As for The BG, the reviews were mixed. Not many raves at all and a LOT of dissenters although the critical reception hardly matters nowadays. Now I know you were there, but I gather you are an usher at almost every theater from your recent posts, but the 3 occasions I was there (opening night and twice later to support a friend who was u/s one of the leads and got the chance to go on) the audience simply accepted the show politely. Naturally there were some very keen people but they were very much in the minority. Or maybe they were the 3 nights you were working at another theater?

I saw Drowsy Chaperone twice while it was on, and loved it both times.
It is a real shame it closed early. The article mentions changes from the Broadway version, what where those (apart from the stuff about The Novello directly)?

Posted: 8/8/07 at 7:11pmThe only change I noticed in London, apart from MIC's opening monologue with the Novello Theatre stuff, was the brief recurring reference to Elaine Paige's lack of height. Otherwise it was the same show.
