the show is a complex show, so perpahes IHATERENT is too simple minded to understnad it, and in that case shouldn't be judging something that he understand and hasn't even SEEN on broadway so his opinion means sh*t.

how dare you say that anthony rapp cant sing...i hope you know number one that he reads these posts and number two you obviously havent heard him sing anything else why dont you get a little history on these people before you judge them like that!

I'll admit, I'm a sucker for show and glitz and big loud numbers and overly dramatic music, so this show is probably just too simple for my taste...

Actually, I think that it makes the show far too complex for your taste. If you need big shiny things to keep you entertained, you're obviously missing the point of many important musicals.

1. gay and so different from the rest of the world
2. an artist/musician and so different from the rest of the world
3. afraid that people will say they don't truly appreciate musical theater if they don't appreciate rent
4. imagining that it is better than it is, because of Johnathon Larson's tragic life

Your theory is far off. I am not gay, i am not an artist or musicain and i sure as hell don't care what people think about me. And i know it is very sad how Johnathon Larson died but "we" like it for the true meaning of RENT, to live everyday as if it's your last.And not because of your stupid pointless theory.

'IHATERENT'...Come on, do you even have a mature side to you. Why would you even make your users name 'IHATERENT'...keep your negative thoughts to yourself. I'm not saying that you can't express your oppinion, but is it not going a little far by making you name 'IHATERENT'.

Did you even listen to the lyrics in the songs?
Did you even think about the story line and moral of the story?

I think since you started this thread, YOU need to further explain what you didn't like of the movie or plot with solid examples to corraborate your thoughts and ideas and then let people resond, i know im late but i think you needed to hear it.
