It closed because it wasn't turning a profit and covering its weekly nut and producers can't afford to keep a show running if it's not making money.

I think the SHOW is great. The score is catchy and fun. And the book has a lot of heart.

That being said...the Broadway production looked cheap to me. I think it was a weak production of a decent musical. Those tend to get poor reviews and flop.

I enjoyed the show too but I think that if it was more about the story and less about the 80s jokes, there would have been some kind of difference.

Personally, I loved this show...not the best...but it was really great! I saw it twice, and was extremley sad when it closed....The music was great, I love the choregraphy (of which I can't spell), and the cast was amazing. I.Loved.It.
