from what i understand from reading this post, the majority of us love rosie. i don't think that it's the fans--let me rephrase--i don't think that it's THEATRE fans who hate her because as it has been pointed out several times, she has done and will continue to do a tremendous amount for the theatre community. having said that, i do think that those persons outside the 'broadway fan-base' (ie: reporters, reviewers, michael riedel) hold a particular animosity towards her because, let's face it, they love ya when you're up, but they love ya even more when you're down because it is so much easier for them to poke fun and ridicule you. and, unfortunately, they are NEVER going to let her live down Seussical OR Taboo. that's a fact.
