Probably because it's going to Baltimore and performing at the Hippodrome in its initial tour? That's my guess anyway.
Correct me if I'm wrong since I haven't been paying attention for too long, but since I have (I live in MD), I've noticed that usually the seasons for the Hippodrome at Baltimore and the Kennedy Center at DC are entirely separate, and it seems that if a tour goes to Baltimore it doesn't go to DC in the same year, and vice-versa, since the two are considered close enough to share audiences I guess. Again, I may be entirely off base on that, but that's just what I've noticed the last few years.

It's not even playing in Chicago during the first year, and it's the largest theater market outside of New York. It'll probably play DC and Chicago the following season.
