Just got back from another awesome night at "Wicked" !! The crowd was so amazing tonight... They basically cheered after every set change, every joke, every song. There was an lot of love going on. KC is ending her run, and having so much fun with it !! During "No One Mourns the Wicked", she took a nail file from out of her dress, and started filing her nails !

Sean McCourt really grew on me tonight. He was excellent !!!

Idina was awesome on "The Wizard and I" and "No Good Deed" was her best ever, in my opinion. "Defying Gravity" was good, but the end got spotty, but still good, and the crowd went crazy. The remarks behind me were.. "we waited so long to see this??" !!!

Very sad leaving the theater, realizing that KC is leaving. Very bittersweet evening, but the show rocked !!!

Ready to go and see the new cast members on 7/30 !!

Sean McCourt is better than Joel Grey.

I disagree about the Sean McCourt comment. That choreography was clearly created with Joel Grey in mind, especiall in "wonderful. There are more than a couple points in that song where the choreography reminds me of "mr. cellophane" in chicago.
plus, how old is sean mccourt? joel grey is 72, i believe, and much more convincing a man who could be idina's father.

bronte604- you do realize the irony of that sentence right since oh yeah sean mccourt's original role was THE WITCH"S FATHER!!!

I was there too, and it was my first time, but I fell in love with it.I agree the end of Defying Gravity was a bit, eh, but still it was amazing. And yes every other song was great. The nail file thing and when she was reflecting mirror light into the audiences eyes were so cute. I never realized how hilarious Kristin Chenoweth is. And Idina Menzel is a fabulous fabulous singer. I liked it more than the book, the book was really dark. This was more upbeat. I would definitely see it again.

Why won't she let you belt it? Are you opera, or something? I belt that song... most of it anyway. Except for like, 3 notes in the end. I bet you can do it.

well, my voice is crazily high. i can hit basically all the notes kristin can and so she thinks that i'll hurt my voice if i belt the d's, e's, and f at the end. i do it at home all the time though. it's never hurt my voice before. yesterday i belted the second 'defy-ING gravity' just to see what she did, and she went ' that was good'. i'm like 'then why can't i belt it?'

Ohh that sucks!! Yah, I can hit all the notes just not belt them all. Thats awesome that you can though. Maybe... you can convince her.

I have a question. How do I change my little picture thing next to my name? I put the wrong one up by accident.

Well, if a voice teacher who knows what they are doing tells you it will hurt your voice, I would listen. It sure would suck if it does ruin your voice in the future.

Be thankful you have a teacher who constantly does those "opera-like" songs. Being classically trained is the basis for anything, it will prepare you technique wise for anything. I don't know where I'd be without my classical backround, you can really apply anything from classical to contemporary and broadway. It really helps.

No problem, I'm no "veteran" myself (I'm 15) I've come to know what helps and etc. during the past 5 years of private voice lessons. People always say "everything comes with time" and it's so true no matter how impatient I am lol. In time you'll learn a lot and gain a lot through your lessons.

Very true. Listen to your voice teacher. She/he knows what is best for your voice right now.

I saw it today - 7/17 - it was adorable. Kristin cried all the way through Thank Goodness, and Idina started to cry on For Good. It was a tear jerker! Unfortunatly no one seems to care that Norbert is leaving....

I saw the show on 7/16 too, for the second time. Loved it even more than the first. My seats were better too...moved from orch row U to row H. Also agree that the nail file, mirror flash were too funny. Kristin was HYSTERICAL and "For Good" was SO touching considering tomorrow's event. Did anyone notice both actresses laughing during the beginning of One Short Day? They came out both cracking up...it was cute.

Does anyone have any good pics of Kristin Chenoweth from July 16th???

I gave her a teddy bear on that night but I didn't get a pic of her looking at it or the bag (pink with Glitter on one side and Kristin on the other). My mom had my camera trying to get a pic of me and KC, but she was too short to get any good ones, so I don't have a pic of her opening it.

If anyone has any pics, even if they aren't top quality, I would greatly appreciate it! Post them here, or email me @ peachy_ga_belle@yahoo.com

Thanks!
~Melissa
