Spencer was in a play, Fully Committed, at the Athenaeum a few months ago. Before that, he was working in England for a while.

I kind of liked his work. He couldn't have been interested.

Posted: 2/18/08 at 8:16pmIt would seem a number of people share our concerns regarding Rob Mills and the bizarre casting of 2 former Australian Idols. Somebody has formed a Facebook group called 'We're worried about Wicked in Australia'. In just a few days it has already got over 200 members

Posted: 2/19/08 at 2:33amYou know I attend almost every Melbourne Opera production at the Athenaeum but not the bloody plays! Was is good? I should really start seeing more plays (especially since I do like the theatre itself - warn down and very cosy).

Urban, Melbourne Theatre Company this year has a stunning season ( as you already, know ).
But the big question is, is Toni Collette going to appear in Joanna Murray-Smith's Ninety?

Posted: 2/19/08 at 7:20amMTC does have an impressive line up, though in the last couple of years I have been attending the smaller companies (Red Stitch, Theatreworks) shows more then MTC. More so out of the fact they have been having stuff I was more interesting in seeing!

Posted: 4/2/08 at 8:19amit should be interesting to see how the idols cope with 8 shows per week...that schedule is gruelling for even the most experienced performers. The good news is: Danial Brown, an American who was part of the original Broadway Cast of Saturday Night Fever has been cast as the Fiyero understudy and he is an amazing talent. He is currently in the Melbourne Production of Priscilla Queen of the Desert. Anthony Callea as Boq? He'll be perfect!

Posted: 6/16/08 at 4:44amIt is so good that the press has finally started to happen for the Melbourne production. I can't find it online but there was a long article in yesterday's Sunday Telegraph lift out that was about the rehearsal/audition process.
