Does anyone know if any of them are out yet? I know there were two in the works, supposedly to be released at the end of the summer.
I'm doing No Good Deed in a competition in November, and I need accompaniment to sing with. Anyone have a recommendation?

Have you heard either one? Do you know which one is better?
Also, I noticed that in the sheet music, the chanting is cut from the beginning of No Good Deed. Is there music for it on either of the CD's? Does the accompaniment match up with the sheet music, or is it the original form of the song?

Posted: 10/5/04 at 9:19pmI have one. It's the one from Stage Stars. It comes with tracks that have the voices and tracks that don't. DO NOT get that one. It sounds very unprofessional! I'm told the other is much better! The chanting is in the one I have but I don't know about the other. If you really need to know I can find out because I know someone who has it.

I have the 'Songs of Wicked' from 'Pocket Songs' one as well as a Rent, Aida, and a few other shows of the same brand (I think, I'll have to go double-check that) They don't include vocal tracks but if you already know the songs then it doesn't matter, and I don't have anything to compare it to, but I personally think that it's worth the money. You can find them on amazon.com I believe, and good luck with that competition

Posted: 10/5/04 at 10:25pmI just wanted to say that I love nodaybuttoday2's pictures, and I love Rent! Anyway, could anyone give me information on how to get broadway karoake cd's? Maybe actually, at a store? I tried amazon, but it's not really working. Any suggestions would be great... thanks!

Posted: 10/5/04 at 10:38pmThe single disk one is SOOO much better, although the singer who plays Elphie on the double disk one is pretty damn good. The only down side to both of the disks is that each one is missing material which is why I purchased both. If you have any other questions private me and I can answer them.

Posted: 10/6/04 at 12:36pmThe single disc version is quite good. The arrangements sound almost exactly like the original cast recording, except for "Thank Goodness" which is rather synthesized. Other than that, it's very good. A couple of people working at Colony in Times Square mentioned the 2-disc set wasn't nearly as good.

I started a post a while back about these CDs here: https://forum.broadwayworld.com/readmessage.cfm?thread=337532#337532
If you dont wanna read it, then here it is in short: Buy the PocketSongs version.

you can purchase and download (or have discs shipped directly to you) any of karaoke tracks, including Avenue Q. I use them all the time - wonderful service.
