I saw Wicked for the 3rd time last night, and it was even more amazing. I had bought partial view seats, and was in Row EE seats 10 and 12, which are teh 3rd and 4th off the aisle. I was weary of how the view would be obstructed...not a thing was obstructed. When Kristin entered, she got a HUGE round of applause, considering it's her last week and all. After "No One Mournes The Wicked" the audience went WILD. There was about 2-3 minutes of applause, and Kristin kept on laughing and making these gestures as to how long the audience kept on applauding. When Idina entered, the audience once again went wild. Her "Wizard and I" was as strong as ever, as were her other songs. Sean McCourt was great as the Wizard...he worked with the little he had, and made more out of it. Also, he convinced you that the Wizard is supposed to be evil. "Defying Gravity" brought down the house, and Idina was amazing. During intermission, I kept on eharing everyone around me saying, "How did this lose best musical to Avenue Q?" Anyway, the second act begins, and everything is just great as always. When Idina sings "No Good Deed", everyone was in awe. During "For Good" there was even more chemistry between Kristin and Idina,a nd it was niced to see. At curtain call, everyone in the theater rose to give the entire cast a standing ovation. One thing that also stuck out more to me was the ensemble members eenrgy throughout the show. They definitely stuck out more than ever. I especially liekd being in the 4th row; because I was so close, and could appreciate the costumes.
