Posted: 12/24/03 at 9:33pmHow many people are usually there? My family and I are going jan 1-4...do you think that if each of us (there are four of is) puts our name in, that we will at least get two seats.

Posted: 12/25/03 at 6:11pmWhich days are there fewer people there. I was going to try the lottery in the next couple of weeks.

Posted: 12/25/03 at 7:20pmI think it might be harder with four people- If one of you win, thats only two tickets- that would be good, but a bummer in your case. The day I saw WICKED, I saw the lottery go into affect- there was 200 people there. It was crazy. There are always going to be lots of people there and your odds are always gonna just fly off luck. WICKED is forming a cult of worshippers and there are Idina freaks out there, like myself to an extent, who try to see her every week with the rush tickets. Wicked is really getting very popular...very very very big- everyone wants to see it, so it might be harder and everyone knows of that lotto now so...who knows but best of luck- you may just defy the odds!

I went and won the first time. It is risky.
But the seats in the first row are incredible it is worth a try.
It is a very entertaining show. Good luck.
I still prefer Q though.

Posted: 12/25/03 at 7:34pmYeah, my parents aren't really interested in seeing it. They are just putting their names in to increase the chances. I hope it works. I would see it with my sister. Oh well, if I don't get, that's fine. I am just extremely happy to see Cabaret with Adam Pascal in it. So yeah I am also gonna get Taboo tix too...I think. Thanks guys :)

Did you see Avenue Q? It is the superior show.
They also have a lottery.
Good luck.
I tell you I LOVE AVENUE Q.

Posted: 12/25/03 at 7:39pmWell, we are only in the state for 3 days. I doubt my parents are gonna want to take me all over trying for tickets. I think I am lucky that they are letting me do the Wicked rush. But no complaints at all... I am excited beyond belief to get to go to NYC.

Mebice how old are you?
If you are over 17 you should go for the Avenue Q rush. Really it is the better choice.
But both are excellent.
Hairspray also has a rush and that is a must see.
HAVE FUN.

Posted: 12/25/03 at 9:47pmNow this may sound odd but one night in Oct I was sitting around on Friday night and was like...I'm going to see Wicked tonight. I got to the lottery and there were about 300 people yet somehow I totally knew I was going to see it that night and sure enough mine was the second name called:) Anyway front row was great just beware the flying monkeys:0

Yes beware a flying monkey was practically in the lap of the guy next to me. He was a southern gentleman who asked me to dinner.
Very tempting. God he was gorgeous.

Why?
Scared you why? Try working for an evil queen that is much worse.

Posted: 12/26/03 at 12:24pmSo not only the Wicked Lottery, but how do other lotteries work? Do you arrive an hour before the show, then put your name in...and do they wait until a few minutes before the show starts, or when do they annoucne it? I have never used this system, and am curious.

Posted: 5/7/04 at 10:23pmhmm I hate to ressurect this thread but, i dont want to start a new one. Anyways, is there any SRO for Wicked. I found out that i have extra time in the city to see one more show and im thinking about seeing wicked for a second time (on the same trip). I went to playbill.com and it just list Rush tickets. So, is there SRO at all?

Posted: 5/7/04 at 11:04pmNo, they do not offer rush simply because there is no room to stand. The orchestra and mezzanine extend to the wall.
