At the beginning of the show when some one in the crowd yells, "Glinda, is it true you were her friend?" has she ALWAYS said "Yes?" or did Kristin just start saying that recently?

Huh- how is that a spoiler?

"yes" as always been in the script.. did you not watch the show??!! Of course she would have to say yes otherwise the rest of the show wouldnt make any sense!

I'm actually asking that question for somebody else, who thinks that she only started saying "Yes" recently and before she just said "Well it depends on what you mean by friend." I think he's confused with the CD though :)

"Well it depends on what you mean by friend" is a part of the script as well...

I KNOW. The person I saw the show with thought that was what she said immediately after being asked the question.

your right, i did notice it last week, she used to pause and look around not knowing what to say...then she would say "well..it depends on what you mean by friend" i notice a lot of changes in the script she does. Every performance is always different and i've seen it 11 times now. My friend is in the ensemble, and i'm a big fan of Idina.

"Friend in the ensemble"

That says it all.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Uh....

"Friend in the ensemble" doesn't neccessarily translate to "free tickets". Be careful with your assumption.

Thank you mamamia sammy...

Needless to say, I haven't seen the show anywhere NEAR 11 times, but I don't think those who do see it that many times are doing it to stalk anybody. Bet you wish you had that much money right?

And to whom it may concern-I just asked this question because I have a friend who saw the show and thought that Kristin had just added the "yes" into that moment on her own, and I wanted to make sure I wasn't delusional when I argued that it has always been there. Sorry if it was too confusing for anybody.

"My friend is in the ensemble, and i'm a big fan of Idina."

Just out of curiosity...WHAT does that have to do with ANYTHING?

But anyway...I saw the show on opening night...and that's what she did...She said yes and kind of looked around as if she didn't know what to say for a moment...then she said "Well it depends on what you mean by friend"

It'll be here for awhile and I'm sure there will be a tour next year... although I'm scared to see what the tour will look like. There is no way they will spend another $14 million to replicate the show for tour...I'm sure it will be scaled WAY back and wont be as grand.....

tour goes out in 2005...

one change I am sure they will make -- the act one finale will look the same, but the technique to fly her will be more standard
