Ok- so this is getting crazy...I booked my second show to see Wicked...and I couldn't get full price tickets in a reasonable viewing area until September 21st! Uggh! and even there I am in (Row K)in a corner on a Tuesday night...I really hope we don't get understudies because it is so early in the week...anyone know if historically this happens? What are my chances I will see Idina on Tues?
Thanks!

Likely...she rarely misses performances. Howvever, isn't she scheduled to make a film somewhere...when is that?

I thought that happened already...the colin farell movie in South Africa? Because my friends went on July 3rd and they saw Eden...and I went on the 16th and Idina was back.

Thanks Millie---I feel much better now that you have said this...yes I do recall she went away to S.Africa and now she is back. I am really excited to see the show again...I loved Idina and Kristin...and now I am looking forward to seeing Jennifer in her role. I have been hearing some good things about her. Thanks again!

Don't take it as a guarantee that she will be in, because you never know.

Idina has no scheduled absenses that I know of, but Tuesday nights are her worst (according to her, she gives her best performances earlier in the week). She was out 6/15-7/3 matinee for the movie. She was on the plane during the matinee and came back and gave a horrible performance for the evening. I'm hoping that doesn't happen again on 8/15 and 1/2. You can always call the box office, and they'll tell you if there are scheduled absenses.

Since the theater is dark on Monday, she will most likely be in the show on Tuesday. Its almost guaranteed.

She's never out any night of the week. Unless she gets really sick, she'll be in.

Musicpos,

Were you at the evening show on 7/3? We were there, and didnt find her performance horrible at all. I am sure that she was
jet-lagged and totally tired, but I thought she did a great job.

Have not seen her give a "horrible" performance yet in 11 trips.

Have some been better than others? Absolutely. Have not seen a horrible Idina yet. Just my humble .02

MusicPos2 wrote a review on Idina's performance that day and he/she verbally got their ass beat for it. Do a search. Good stuff in that thread, haha.

How are the partial view seats? Worth the 55 dollars? I've seen it twice, but I'm taking 2 friends who have not seen it before. Should we go for these seats?

Go for any seat you can get. You'll miss some, but not that much.

Partial are fine. Better if you can get right side of stage. Believe show is now sold out thru August. Might be single tix left.

She was off pitch that night, and her tone was so thin. The entire show had no energy. She should've let Eden go on if she was that jet-lagged.

When did you start searching for your tickets? I was looking last week and saw some on ticketmaster for July AND August. Some were partial view and some were full 100 seats. I got partial view for August 12!

For all of you who have been in the Gershwin, hows the view in say, row T? Lol I got my tickets too late to get any closer. I was thinking of entering the lotto just to see if I could do any better. You think it's worth it?

Night - I was in Row U - one row behind your T..center ochestra and enjoyed the full view...However.. I did NOT see any facial expressions so am going gain in a few weeks. I would say any view is good for the first time and maybe second time around try to get closer even if is partial view since you will have already experienced the "full view effect"

I got Row W for Idina's last performance January 2 (unless she renews her contract, which I doubt) on ticketmaster. I wish I would have thought of it earlier so maybe I could have gotten some better seats, but at least it's in the center.
