Because they are smart and know that there main demographic and the people who are most likely to want to go and see WICKED are the same people who go to that website.
And if is a gossip loser blog, then why were you on it?

It's highly unlikely that it's specifically Wicked paying to advertise on PerezHilton.com
The way that 99% of web banner ads work is that you pay a company for a stream of ads that alternate between the different clients of that company.
Love it or hate it, PerezHilton.com gets a lot of hits and probably can pick and choose which ad banner companies that it uses and in all likelihood, Wicked just happened to belong to one of those companies.
