Hey guys...getting back to NYC next week and wanted to check on the numbers trying to get lottery tickets for Wicked. When I was there in March, there were like 300 people each time I went down there. But, I'm wondering now that KC is gone, and that the show is 7 months older, if the numbers have decreased any. I have tickets for 11/3, but will try to get better seats via the lottery.
Has anyone tried the lottery lately?

I went to the matinee yesterday, and the crowd was pretty tiny. I saw Michelle (nessa) on her way to the theatre too, she was in a bitchy mood, eh, whatever. But i do think the lottery line has decreased lately, but still the largest in NY now, heh. Im trying to see every show thats up right now... so let me know if you need someone to see ANYTHING with. heh. Im sad though, i dont think i will see Toxic Audio or I Am My Own Wife before this weekend. agh.
anyways, back to you... good luck getting better seats, careful scalping your tix if you have to though, the guy at the Gerswin (and you all know who im talking about) is NOT JOKING around about letting people know they shouldnt buy them (and to stay behind the green line, lol)

Weekend lotteries are still running about 300 people each.
Good luck!

It's all a matter of luck ... that's what I think. Well, I think that's what many think. The Avenue Q line is a lot less stressful to stand in b/c you have a chance. But WICKED ... it's just always a toss up.
I don't want to be an awful person here, but I just MUST comment on the rude girl sitting in the lobby giving people information about the show. She tackles them as soon as they walk through the doors and it's almost like she is a hunter and she nails them and tries to suck their question out of them. I'm looking at her going, "look sweety we know you're just another WICKED fan who was excited to get a job here and now thinks she's the S$%T and wants to establish her seniority above all us ticketbuyers." I wanted to vomit on her ... I know her job is to keep the box office people not CRAZY busy so they get their job done and don't have to be asked a million questions. But I would take a bitchy grandma over this chick anyday.
Two cents ... enjoy!
