Wicked playbills

How many different playbills have there been for Wicked? Is it just two-with the different casts, or have there been smaller ensemble changes?

When I first saw a show, when there was a new ensemble member, they just stuck a slip in the playbill announcing it was her first day. Eventually, they might make changes in the playbill to make everything more accurate.

Well, I have one with the original guy who played Boq listed (I can't remember his name right now, Christopher something), and then another one I have has Randy Harrison listed as playing Boq.

I don't know if it's so much about the OBC leaving as it is about cost. It's a lot of money to print Playbills up in color which is why shows like Rent changed their logo. I know AIDA had a black a white logo for a bit but apparently it looked really bad so they switched back.

The Wicked playbill is still COLOR-covered.
and No, they do not all change when the original cast leaves.

A lot of my Playbills of show I saw with the OBC are black and white. I also have some that are in color that are not the OBC. It has nothing to do with when the OBC leaves.

hairspray is not b/w and there obc is gone besides mary bond davis and jackie hoffman.. lsoh went back and white within a couple of months and the obc was in it

I picked up a Wicked poster and was surprised to see that Jennifer Laura Tompson's name, as well as George Hearns, was already printed on it. They move pretty quickly I guess.

yeah, they stopped printing it witht he entire original cast the weekend kristin and norbert left... a guy who works at the gershwin told me that i should get one before they were gone (this was back at their final weekend when i saw the show)... sadly, i didn't bring extra money with me for that...

yeah the girl working at the gershwin on the 18th told me I didn't have to buy it right then for cheno/joel's names to be on it but I didn't take any chances...I got mine :) I think got everything they can change...

Sorry for the confusion about the OBC/color thing. I read somewhere that playbills are changed when the OBC leaves.

rent used to look like the logo you see on the sheet music or the cd with the photos in back, now its just like the black and white rent lettering. it changed ,ballpark, 5-6 years ago so you new rent fans wont know about it.
