Does getting up and going to Wicked's Box Office at 9am for their Cancellation line work? I can either see DRS friday or take a chance on the Cancellation line.
Or you could get a friend, have one person wait at the Gershwin, one at the Imperial. If you end up getting Wicked tickets you can sell your DRS tickets (or sell your Wicked tickets) depending on where you have better seats.

If you get there at 9am for an 8pm show, you're pretty much guaranteed for seats. But, remember, there aren't always house seats avaliable. The producers may have invitesd someone, or something.
There's always cancellations.
9 am is way too early. When I went two performances before Idina's last, I got there at 1:30. The next person after me to show up was 45 minutes later.
Do you really want to wait 11 hours?

no! just go see dirty rotten scoundrels-it's the best musical on broadway!
See DRS. You'll appreciate Lithgow, Butz, and Scott's performances. Wait to see Wicked - the hype won't last forever. Even with cast changes, the quality of the show won't change.

Yes, 9am is way too early. I should've mentioned that. When I was going to go for a Thursday night, we started at aroudn 2 and we were first in line.
But DRS is a fantastic choice. The cast is wonderful.
The box office opens at 10am. Getting there an hr. early is bad?
They won't start selling cancellations till after seven. Getting there at 9am is a waste of your day.
See DRS
I agree with TheGa...if you are visiting nyc, you most definitely don't want to waste your entire day sitting at the front of the line inside a theatre. Go sightseeing, or something....
