Sorry if this has already been posted in the past...I tried searching, but you type in "Wicked" and a LOT comes up!!
I was just wondering if anyone could tell me which "Wicked" songbook would be a better buy. I know there is a piano/vocal edition, and then another edition that does not have the vocal line in the piano part, rather a condensed orchestration. I prefer my songbooks to be in the original keys used in the shows on Broadway...are either of these in the original keys? Which one would be a better buy if I needed it for audition pieces? Thanks for any help/suggestions!!!

The only book I've seen is the one that I have- no vocal line in the piano part. As far as I know, they're all the original keys. I'd get that one if I were you.

I have the piano/vocal edition and it's in the original key. Some of the songs had to be changed a bit, obviously, but it's still very good. It seems like you would be wanting to use it for voice so this one would probably be the better bet.
i have the piano/vocal and the karaoke cd but the karaoke is crap i also have the obc recording

the only song that was transposed was For Good. Other than that no keys are changed, I wish it had the beginning of What is This Feeling tho.
