Wicked video clip [sorry for the Wicked post]

I feel like I've seen this before... but here it is just in case for people who might not of. One Short Day is the two in the video though, not the OBC recording. It's with Stephanie J. Block as Elphaba.

The Denver Center for Performing Arts has a WICKED video clip on its web page at:

Go see the clip!

Kristin Chenoweth could barely control a Great Dane she trotted onto the stage. "Great, they gave me a dog that weighs five times what I do", she quipped. For the record, she weighs 93 pounds, and has a Maltese.

OK, I know everybody is gonna hate me and get on top of me but I have the right to give my opinion: I think Stephanie J. Block's rendition of Defying Gravity is disappointing. She has a great voice, but she is just standing in the air without doing anything and at the end, Idina Menzel raised her broom with strength, capturing Elphaba's revolutionary and strong spirit; if you see Block raising her broom at the end, she does it in some stylistic way which I think fails to capture an important aspect of the character. I like her voice and I don't doubt she is a great actress but that bothered me.
The next scene on the clip is from Popular, and I have to say that the actress who plays Glinda gives a horrible rendition of one of my favorite numbers. I know you can't really judge by 30 sec. of film but still, she was not funny at all, and she tries way too hard to make people laugh, and I don't know if it was the clip but people were not really laughing at all. I just hope somebody else is playing Glinda next year when the show comes to Florida. Anyways, I'm sure most people disagree but I had to release my feelings about what I saw from the clip.
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"

Yeah, I was the one who posted this a while ago, but stil, I agree, the clip is great!

Ray, I have to agree that Steph could've done more choreography on Defying Gravity, but like you said, she has a great voice! During the part "I'm flying high, De-FY-ing Gravity", she hit the "De-FY-ing" part perfectly! It sounded awesome!

Kendra is not the best Glinda, but I thought she hit the high notes fine, and her Popular was funny!

One Short Day is all right.

The video is part of the B-Roll package for the show (the video that is sent to the theatres from the production company for marketing purposes).

Also, I thought Kendra was wonderful as Glinda. Both live and on the tape....(but that's just my personal opinion). Definately the best I've ever seen (out of her, JLT, Stacie, Kate, and Megan). And again, just my opinion.

Yeah--I have seen Kendra perform the show and I was dissapointed (even though it was on achoovideo). I didn't see her bring ANYTHING to the role.
