I'm going to NYC this week and i'm going to see Fobidden Broadway, Wicked, and Phantom of the Opera, so I have a few questions about the stuff for sale at the shows

At Wicked, since the cast has changed, do they have a new poster with the new cast members names on it?

Also at Wicked, do they have a new suvenier book with pictures of the new cast or does the suvenier program book have pictures of the original cast?

At Forbidden Broadway do they have posters of the show and suvenier program books for sale?

"Let the little girl go, and that poor little dog? Dodo." That's my favorite line in the whole show (Wicked). My next favorite line is "Oh! It seems the artichoke is steamed."

I have another question.......Is Brooklyn still on Broadway or did it close? One of my friends told me it closed, but I never heard about it closing from anyone else

Sadly, they don't sell much at "Forbidden Broadway". They used to sell posters, but they haven't in a few years. And since the show keeps changing, they don't have a program or anything, because they'd have to keep changing the photos and what not. Anyway, what they DO sell is... All of the "FB" cast recordings, T-shirts, and magnets.

If you really want a "Forbidden Broadway" poster, however, go to Triton Gallery on 45th Street. They sell posters from several previous editions of ths show.

wicked souveneir programs are of the original cast. You have an option to get a poster of the current cast or the original cast at wicked also. The original cast poster has a big ugly decal on it that says "original cast" and kindof takes away from the poster, so if youre looking for a poster of the original cast, i would suggest going to one of the billions of broadway places only a few blocks away in the times square area that sell them.

kind of off topic but is DRS coming out with merchandise to sell? like the poster and the souvenier program?

drs has tons of merch to sell: posters, programs, t shirts, buttons, hats, a tote bag, etc.
the program is really good and it was only 10 bucks! the buttons say things like "im with ruprecht" and crazy stuff like that

Ok ..I have to ask..
with so many newer and better shows running why are you going to see PHANTOM which is 17 years old (and looking very tired)? And why WICKED?

I mean if you are spending $100 to see a show wouldn't you rather see something really REALLY good like PIAZZA? AVE Q? DRS?

I am just curious why you chose the 2 shows you did.

Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!

I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

I've seen Phantom and Wicked. I plan to see Phantom again in the fall and I am seeing Wicked again on tour in Sept. Maybe brandonm has not seen these shows yet!

I bought the Wicked program when I saw it in May of 2004. Wasn't really impressed. Nice pictures but that was about it. Original cast inset and some workds from Gregory Maguire that I had already read most of.

DRS merchandise is out, just not sold in stores. It all has to do with rights issues.

so they won'tbe selling it online? cause i really wanted to get the poster and souvenir program but they weren't out when we saw the show in April.

They probably chose those two shows because...I don't know- Perhaps they WANTED TO. Maybe those shows interested them and simply because you think something really good can found at PIAZZA or AVE. Q (love them both by the way), its merely an opinion. Different people are interested in different shows and should not be criticized for spending their money for a performance of their choice.
