I watched it last night!!! I thought it was fantastic. Fact? Hardly, but it was definitely a compelling piece of work. It feels like and abridgement of the 9/11 Commissions report. The biggest problem with the film isn’t the Clinton criticism; it is something that is even more harmful. The film falls very short in explaining the “terrorists” point of view or reasoning. It is far more complicated than is portrayed here. Even if you’re not a religious extremist in the Middle East, you might find yourself vengeful of the West when your electricity is turned off for 6 months.

Is this propaganda? I really do not know (though I assume most things are). I feel the “controversy” surrounding it is. Last week Disney suggested the film was still being “tweaked.” Um… I’ve worked in television long enough to know that when something is delivered to a client (ABC) it is final. The film was ready to air for quite some time. It appears to me that some of the Clinton parts are snipped. I haven’t seen the untweaked version, but I’m pretty sure there was more.

I really feel there should be a commission to investigate the 9/11 Commission. I know it sounds crazy, but our new media does nothing to search for and report the truth. When the report was released, the media took it as fact and bipartisan. One really great part of the film is when a rouge ABC reporter meets with Bin Laden pre 9/11. Those were the days when investigative reporting was working for the people. Not anymore.

As far as Bob Igor funding both parties…. What you need to know is that most very large corporations do this. This is the very reason you never hear on the nightly news about it happening. Billary is just as guilty as Bush, she served on the board of Wal-Mart and accepted funding from Fox. Consider companies like Apax, Halliburton and Norththrup Grumman fair-weather friends to our two political parties. People in this country seem to think there are two sides to the world’s problems and they can be solved by picking a side. Unfortunately both sides support the same cause.
