two words: search. function.

I love the book too. It's so much better than the musical. So much is lost in the book/music that just makes me think "why even title it the same?" In the musical, you get nothing of WHY Elphaba chose to be evil and why Galinda chose to be good.

And all the "Something Bad" is lost. It makes no sense in the musical. Updated On: 12/7/04 at 03:37 PM

I enjoyed the book a great deal. Although, as with some of Maguire's other works, I found myself taken aback by unexpected moments of crassness. This didn't detract from my enjoyment or appreciation of the book but I wondered if anyone else noticed this? Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister was excellent and I read Lost all in one sitting. =) I haven't begun Mirror Mirror yet but am looking forward to it.
