When someone says a lyric from a song, I have to finish it. Example..."Cold, cold, cold" I go, "Wuould you light my candle?" ANd other fan lines like that from RENT and other shows

Okay, I hate to admit it, but I like to impersonate Ethel Merman doing "There's no business like show business"! I've been told its not half bad. I personally don't claim that's its any good, just fun. re: Wierdest thing you've ever done in public from a Broadway show

Me and a bunch of friends had a "La Vie Boheme" moment in the courtyard during lunch once. We blasted the song out of a portable boom box someone had for art class and danced on the tables, singing along with it. It was fun!

Every morning before school i listen to my ASU cd, and when my friend picks me up, i have to wake my cousin up... so i turn on "theres always me" and BELT OUT the end like sharon (only she has talent and i have none what-so-ever) that always gets my cuz up and my friend ready to leave!
Whenever i'm anywhere public with my mom, and she knows someone and introduces them to me i get into "dennis mode" and say "heeeey, (person's name), how ya doin?!" in a nerdy voice. its great

im a total ASU geek

Oh, and whenever I meet someone and they say "You look familiar," I respond, "Like your dead girlfriend?"

That's gotten some fun responses.

During striking a set one time, I picked up a broom, stood on top of a chair and belted out Defying Gravity....lol..

and on a related note, while building a set (a different one, this was like 1 month ago) I showed everyone that I knew the blocking to Wizard and I and sang the whole thing, like a performance..but this isn't weird since there are always theatre people around :)

and all that I could do because of you was talk of love...

DivaBrigader, you got to it before me!
Danny's whole "That...maaaaaatters!" was awesome.

The other night, I was at the movies with one of my friends, and we saw a Rent poster hanging up. She said "I gotta" and was going to say "get change of a 10", but I finished with "gotta gotta gotta gotta gotta gotta (you know) find a way...to jump over the moon!" And then we finished the entire song.

I sang "Let Me Entertain You" in the cafeteria of my HS with everyone going "Whaaaaaaaaaaat the...?"

I walk up to random people in Times Square and ask them "Please, can you give me a little moo?" and they usually do it LOL.

Well, when anyone says any word or phrase remotely related to RENT, Wicked, or The Wild Party(among others)I burst into song. But that's not too weird...
I took pictures of every Wicked poster at Universal Studios.
Everytime I went to lotto Wicked tickets in SF, there was a group of regulars. The usher running the lotto would have us sing while they counted tickets. Seasons of Love was the best, because a lot of people joined in. There were like 200 people there.
I'm dressing up as Maureen to see RENT when the movie comes out. I already bought my cat suit. There's a big group of RENTheads going in costume. I'm hoping we find a restaurant that will let us do La Vie Boheme.

So, the story to how I got my "musical theatre geek" title:
I was in a production of Annie and we toured to theatres around the area. I was in a dressing room with my twin sister and best friend. The dressing room door had a rectangular cut-out(looked like it had previously been some sort of mail-slot). My best friend and sister, seeing this cut-out and its perfect size, looked out through it while saying: "In here, life iz beautivul, sie girlz are beautivul, even sie orchestra is beautivul!" Following this quote one of the professional actors from New York told us that we were "such musical theatre geeks". We thanked him for the comment.

After watching a movie, I went to a all-hours restaurant (they're a novelty out here re: Wierdest thing you've ever done in public from a Broadway show) and, as we were waiting to be seated, my friend started snapping, so I snapped with him, then everyone ended up joining in. As we walked to our table, we did that low walk while snapping thing at the beginning of WSS. 'Twas fun.

(Not from a Broadway show)
When I was in The Wiz and the cast would go out to lunch or dinner we would "ease on down". We would do the choreography and sing along. That was fun.

I always do a Jennifer Holoday "And I am Telling You" impression.

I also love to do "She Loves To Hear the Music" song and dance from "The Boy From Oz."

I love to do the arm circle thing, SOOOO FUN!

You guys crack me up, really.

My friends and I were walking in the mall and we started the snapping thing and as we were walking into American Eagle I start singing, "When you're a jet..."

At a dance I cleared a spot and started doing Elphaba's dance in Dancing Through Life. Only a few people knew what I was doing and started laughing. They didn't have any good music so I had to dance to rap.. but whatever. It was fun.

Someone was talking to me and they said "Last night I had a dream..." and that started the Cyberland story.

If I'm near anyplace with railings I tend to look for ones that are close to the ones in "Out Tonight". And if I find some that are the same, WATCH OUT. I go crazzzy and do the entire "Out Tonight" dance.

Ah, Broadway.

haha...where to bein...ill have to start with the one that tops the chart:

1. There tis a courtyardish area in the back of my school where the rents can come and pick up theater folk up after rehersal, crew work, etc...and as usual we were hanging out back there for the usual late rents and since there was this railing surronding it, so I decided to burst into a randition of the cell block tango...um "dancing" with the railing...and a bunch of teachers walked by me, then this old creapy teacher stopped and looked at me...thats when i realized that teachers had been walking by...he then proceeded to say these words: "Its like american idol...nice"

2. Me and my friends walked down the city street with our glass soda bottles, swinging them singing oompa pah pah

3. Me and my friends were walking in the park, and we saw some of the usual tough yet gentle kids, so I got the bright idea to immitate West Side story, telling the rest to join in I shouted :"Come on Jets! When you're a jet..." by the time i got across the bridge i realized all my friends walked the other way.

4. It was raining, I jumped up on a light post so sing and swing around it, it instead was a wittle tooo slippery and I went flying off landing flat on my face

5.we were walking and someone was trying to open the gate to their house and was having a hard time, so we went over to help, and we finally got i t open and I started singing, "open the gates and seize the day" the man proceeded to give me one of the weirdest looks ever and walked away rather quickly

6. My friends made the mistake of coming to NYC with me on our bway trip, where I tweeked the words to one short day and skipped down the street belting, "one short day in new york city!"

7. I skip down any and everywhere either singing, wicked, the wiz(while eazing), or the wizard of oz

8. My old white haired rockin brit lit teacher, said "wonderful its wonderful" and I jumped up from my seat shouting, "He's the wizard!"

9. I live in amish country...so farms cows everywhere. Well sometimes while walking near a farm with zee cows i tend to run over to the fence and shout "Moo with me!" to the cows the proceed to moo until i give up or they moo back

hmmmm there are so many more....but these should amuse and proove how crazy i am for now

I have a few new ones. My schools senior thesis has to be on revisionist literature. I was set on doing Wicked and The Wizard of Oz. Then I heard it had to be books from a preapproved list. We got the lsit today. Good thing my teacher took an entire class on The Wizard of Oz, cause the foirst choice was comparing the two, exactly what I wanted! I saw it today and in the middle of class broke out into "I couldn't be happier because hapy is what hapens when all your dreams come true. Isn't it? Happy is what happens when your dreams cooooooooome." Then, once I decided my aper would be about the origins of evil, I found that my thesis statement would be a quote from Wicked. I then broke out into that song... "Are people born wicked or do theyhave wickedness thrust upon them?" I finished the song. Just a little nuts...

Ugh, I've done so many! But the one that I think was the weirdest was back in college, on the train from Poughkeepsie into Manhattan, a guy friend of mine and I performed the entire Confrontation from Les Miz. On the train. Loudly. Sitting across the aisle from one another. I was Javert, he was Jean Valjean. And remember, I'm a girl, so those low notes must've freaked people out coming out've a 115 pound, 18-year-old kid! :-P

well let me tell you I love Dracula and there was a time where it was all my friends and I listened to.

one time while my friends were rehearsing for a show I came to their rehearsal just to visit. And during their break we performed(or tried)to perform Dracula from start to finish (yes, I mean all the songs and stage directions). But we never got to finish because the freaking principal told us to stop! And that saddened me very much and I cried.

well, I didn't really cry but I wanted too.
