It really was.
I must say I was so impressed by his Roger that I can't wait to see what's he in next. Don't forget to check out will-chase.com. He emailed me back overnight!
I can't believe that today is Will's last show in RENT. I wish he was staying on longer as Roger. He brings so much to the character, even in the little tiny parts where he is not even the center of attention. He is always thinking and makes some great character choices (in my opinion). I love his Roger.
anyone lottery-ing it up today?
I'd like to, but I can't.
Dreaminaret, are you?
no because i took an oath not to see him again but i was just curious

Will Chase, along with his wife and daughters, are complete sweethearts...Nice tippers too : )
Did anyone go to the performance tonight? If so, how was it?

Will was amazing. but it was really Antonique (who had an ear and sinus infection) who really blew me away.. wow, her voice is incredible. the best mimi ever, and her acting is excellent. loved her choices

Yes, me and my friends also made it to Will's last tonight. We saw it on Tuesday to see him and loved it so much we tried our luck again tonight for his last, and brought along a friend who had never seen it so she could see Will her first time. Antonique is awesome too. Most Mimi's I've seen I find a little boring, but Antonique is perfect with her emotion, acting, and voice, not to mention she's hot with Will and her Out Tonight is incredible. But alas, Will is gone and thank god I saw him. He is flawless. Can't wait to se him again in something else.
I was there tonight as well. I won lotto.
I don't think I'm going to get over having missed Will's run anytime soon. I have the worst timing, having not been out of NY for more than 2 weeks in 3 years and then leaving for 6 months right when he comes in. Any chance he'll be back? (crosses fingers)
and dreaminaret, why the oath?
His run was awfully short (what was the reason for the short stay again?) but he certainly made a great impact. Great job, Will!
I'm pretty sure he was filling in until Tim Howar could debut.
I saw it in lotto seats for the matinee, and just I mean gotta agree w/ what everyone else said, he was great as Roger.
But what really impresses me is I saw him as Neville in the Secret Garden...I couldn't believe it was the same person, yet he was so amazing in both roles. People who play parts and I can't believe it's the same person...they truly amaze me...if that's not wonderful acting...
Thanks Lizzie. He did one heck of a fill-in! He made his Broadway debut as Roger or as a swing?
He understudied Mark and Roger and was the squeegee guy, I believe. :)
backalley - because I saw it both on Dec 26th and Jan 20th and since you're away everone i know that's still here will not speak to me if i see it again :)
we must keep this thread alive :)
Its eerie how his and Norbert's echo each other in their early years. The fact they are best friends too is interesting. Does Will have good comedic skills? He could be a good replacement for Norbert when Norbert leaves DRS.
I think his comedic timing is pretty good and I think it would be an interesting part for him. Though I don't know how strong his physical comedy is. But it's something I could definately picture.
I don't know if I could see him in DRS (although he has surprised me before). I really wish he could find a good role to originate. He is so talented, but he always seems to be following Adam or Norbert or Patrick Wilson. This man needs a role all his own!

I just e-mailed him and he got back to me almost right away. He is so cool. I want to see him in something new, Like Lennon, but better.
Wow, someone's efficient. Very cool!
