Yes, even though that is totally irrelevant.
I think Dreamgirls will be very successful. I don't know if it'll be in the Chicago category, but will certainly make lots of money.

Posted: 10/20/06 at 1:32amI hope it'll be the next Chicago, but I'm hmmmmming over the fact that Jennifer Hudson is being pushed as 2007's Best Supporting Actress Oscar winner but is not featured prominently in the trailer, except for a speed reading of a line about singing lead. Hopefully the intense marketing will not backfire and the performances will be brilliant overall (at this point, they have to be brilliant to justify the hype).

Posted: 10/22/06 at 2:35pmJohn Lithgow has a cameo as a film director, Jerry Ross, who has a meeting with Deena Jones (Beyonce' Knowles) about starring in a film of his. John Krasinski ("Jim" of NBC's THE OFFICE) also has a cameo in the scene, playing Steve Walsh, the screenwriter of Lithgow's film.
