Will Lennon be good?

Posted: 4/6/05 at 6:43pmI have not been hearing a lot about Lennon. I need to find new show that's a musical to take family to in September. I want whatever is the newest and most popular.

Posted: 4/6/05 at 6:44pmWell, they have quite a good cast, so it can't be THAT bad.

I hope it will. I'm a Beatles fan from way back when, but with all these "jukebox musicals" going around lately, I'm afraid it will be just lost in the shuffle.
Come September, I think Lennon will be the newest, but Spamalot will still be most popular, and maybe if you act now you can still get seats for Spamalot then.

Posted: 4/6/05 at 10:39pmThe concept of the show sounds much more artistic than any of the other jukebox shows to date (Mamma Mia, Good Vibrations, All Shook Up, etc.). And the cast is phenominal.

Posted: 4/7/05 at 4:42amthe rumor is that the producers are holding back spending a lot of money on the production until it transfers to broadway as they are extremely frightened that YOKO will pull her support from the show and force it to close. Don't get too attatched yet. I really want to see it though.

I suppose you're not really looking for a definite answer??
I have tickets to one of the first previews in San Francisco, so I guess I will find out soon.
Good or bad, it will be different (aren't all the actors playing Lennon??)

Posted: 4/7/05 at 6:27amTerrence Mann is in it. I think he's only been in one bad play - the rest have been Cats/Beauty and the Beast/Les Mis/Rocky Horror Show/Barnum/Scarlet Pimpernel. I'll go with the odds and say he doesn't usually put himself into bad plays......

I am very optimistic about this show. It really sounds like it's going to be interesting and different. Let's pray.
That said, I'm not getting too excited, because every other show this season I actually expected to love, my expectations were way too high.

I have heard that Julia Murney is very picky about the shows she does, so I doubt this will be terrible, otherwise she wouldnt do it.
I personally am looking forward to seeing the amazing cast they have lined up
