If it went to the Carter, it would give it the classic NY 1970's atmosphere and sense of impending danger - or is that the rooms
OOF! That place is a hole. The Public has a LOT of work to do unless they are going to hand out penicillin at the door on the way out.
They should start reclaiming some of the lost hotel (and office-building!) theaters in New York. The Hotel McAlpin at 34th and 6th had a rooftop theater where Hal Prince's revival of Candide played.
And the Chanin Building at 42nd and Lexington had an Art Deco rooftop theater that was supposed to have been gorgeous.
