Well, Michael Douglas confirmed recently on LIVE WITH REGIS & KELLY that he will be playing Liberace in a theatrical bio film. Matt Damon is playing Liberace's last partner, Scott Thorson.

This could spawn new interest in all things Liberace.

Doesn't Liberace's Estate still insist that he was "heterosexual?"

Seems like I read something in the past year or so that he went to his grave denying he was gay and/or was dying of AIDS. His partner sued and reached a quiet settlement, I believe, but the estate still denies his homosexuality.

Wonder how this may be handled onstage or in film.
