Willemijn Verkaik

Does anyone know Willemijn Verkaik's scheduled last day on broadway? I know it's a 15 week engagement but I can't find an exact date. I called Gershwin Theatre and the guy on the phone just said "I don't know".

I'd like to see her final performance so if anyone could help me out I'd greatly appreciate it! Thank you.

Her last performance will be on May 26. I know that she now has several days of. Dunno why, maybe she is ill. One can just hope that she is soon fit again. It must be annoying for her to be there such a limited time and then she is by now already one week off.

Maybe she is trying to use up some of her vacation time before she departs the show?

I am not sure of the terms of her contract considering she is from the German production.

How long has she been out? I'm in the city this week hoping to catch her. Maybe she was taking a her week vacation?

Any info would be appreciated.

She was on last night! (Much to my excitement) and I think she was on Sunday and Saturday evening! No show ok Monday, so she has been on the last 3 shows!

She was on this afternoon, and stunning. First time I've been to Broadway (living so close to London) and I hope she gets to do London, so I can see her again. She acting and sung perfectly, putting the rest of the cast to shame.

On a side note, I went for a nosey round the sound desk as I always do (I'm a theatre sound tech back home) and who should I practically walk into but Stephen Schwartz. Not sure what he was doing there, but was a nice surprise.

It is pronounced "Villa-mine;" "W" is not phonetically the same in every language.

The transliteral pronunciation of Willemijn Verkaik is "Villa-mine Verkek." If you watch just about any interview with her/about her, her name is usually said.
