#1 Willemijn Verkaik !!!!!!!! Posted: 12/25/10 at 5:34pm Now I know she played Elphaba in German, but I was wondering if they would bring her over here to the U.S. and play Elphaba. I was blown away by her voice on Scott Alan's new cd !!!!!!!!!!1 Facebook...ME !!!
#3 Willemijn Verkaik !!!!!!!! Posted: 12/25/10 at 6:46pm Perhaps one day, I'm almost certain of it. However for now she is doing a concert I believe in January in NYC. Check it out. 2011: In The Heights Tour 1/16/11, The Color Purple Tour 2/11/11, West Side Story Tour 3/18/11
#5 Willemijn Verkaik !!!!!!!! Posted: 12/25/10 at 10:18pm She does. There was a rumor a while back that they were bringing her over here to play Elphaba. I wish it had panned out. Her voice is outstanding.
#6 Willemijn Verkaik !!!!!!!! Posted: 12/26/10 at 1:07am Oy, she's perfection. Formerly: WishingOnlyWounds2 - Broadway Legend - Joined: 9/25/08
#7 Willemijn Verkaik !!!!!!!! Posted: 12/26/10 at 6:43am She's Dutch! She's gonna play Elphaba in the Dutch version of Wicked! It starts somewhere around fall 2011! So maybe after that she goes to broadway?
#8 Willemijn Verkaik !!!!!!!! Posted: 12/26/10 at 11:16am she´s an outstanding voice...but (saw her 5 times in Wicked in Oberhausen) her acting is not as good as her voice! I´d say mediocre... I'm German. Get used to the weird wording, spelling and/or grammar.
#9 Willemijn Verkaik !!!!!!!! Posted: 12/26/10 at 11:30am ^That describes about 90% of the women who've played Elphaba. Most of them have huge voices, but not much else. Which is fine. Let's be honest, it's not Lady Macbeth. If an actress can knock the "big three" out of the park, that's really all that matters.
#10 Willemijn Verkaik !!!!!!!! Posted: 12/26/10 at 12:15pm Well, I think it has to be a good mixture! If the singing just blows you away, the acting doesn´t have to be perfect! I'm German. Get used to the weird wording, spelling and/or grammar.
