I read about this on talkinbroadway a day or two ago. I'm surprised it wasn't brought up before now on the board.
Maybe it was. The second time I did that in 2 minutes. Sorry! :)

No I didn't see the "other" post on this--that is if there was one.

Even more excitingly (if that's possible) DARLENE friggin LOVE is gonna be the new Motormouth.
PERFECT!
I remember seeing her in Carrie: The Musical just like it was yesterday.
so upsetting for Shannon to AGAIN be pushed back from taking over. The girl should be up there right now but Marissa is great too and I am sure Shannon understands
WOULD LOVE TO SEE DARLENE...and talk about Carrie
Oh yeah, like we didn't see this coming. Winokur isn't the most marketable of an actress, so it won't surprise me if she rides this thing until the bitter end.

I am so happy....I love Marissa! I will ahve to see the show at least two more times before she departs.
LittleFish--That was rude and unnecessary. Marissa is doing a great job for herself. You say that she isn't "Marketable", however, I see no reason that she shouldn't stay in the show for a bit longer--she's doing it while Stacked is on hiatus. So what is the difference if she plays Tracy a bit longer, or she spends a few weeks doing nothing. It's not as if she could get a great job doing something else in the short time that Stacked isn't filming.
Woah woah woah, I never EVER said a thing about her not doing a great job, so please do not accuse me of that. I am merely stating the truth. It doesn't surprise me that she is staying in Hairspray for longer, b/c its her one steady job opportunity while she is out, b/c yes, the truth is she isn't the MOST marketable of people. I didn't say she isn't marketable, or will never work again, I said that she probably has a more challenging time at finding appropriate jobs...
Sheesh!
My apologies then...it's difficult to totally comprehend what others are saying especially through the internet. Sorry I jumped at you.

So, like, is Hiarpsray suffering that they need to bring Marissa back (Even if it was just to sit in for Carly, because she had to leave early) and now bring in Love?
Although Hairspray is on TKTS a lot, their weekly percentages are still in the high 80's and 90's. I believe they were at 98% this past week, so I'd say they're doing just fine.
Great. Marissa now leaves ONE DAY before I get to NYC. Darn.
