Im coming into the city next weekend to see a matinee of Beetlejuice before heading back home later that night, so Ill have a small drawstring bag with me with phone charger, headphones, etc, for the bus trip. I remember reading that the winter garden asks that patrons avoid bringing bags; is there a place to check them or will I be able to bring it and put it under my seat? Thanks.
Hi there! A small drawstring bag is perfectly fine to bring into the theatre and stow under your seat or in your lap. They will search it before hand when you enter the theatre, but other than that it's totally fine.

I always carry a backpack, tote, or messenger bag and I've never had a theatre stop me or make me check it. The one time they questioned it was at the Shubert a decade ago when I had standing room for Spamalot, but other theatres let me put the bag against the wall when I've stood. You'll be fine.

I've brought in a backpack big enough to fit a 15" Macbook into Beetlejuice without a problem!
