I am looking quite forward to Andrew Lloyd Webbers new musical "Woman In White", the book is absolutely AMAZING, and I have faith that ALW will be able to pull it off! He is composing entire score, and I am planning on a beautiful production, like Phantom Of The Opera, or Evita. I have posted a link below, if you want to read a little bit about it, it sounds really cool, and I bet it will be GREAT!!!!

Is this based on the Wilkie Collins novel? This is one of the great mellerdrama thrillers of the late Victorian age. Interesting concept.

The link didn't work for me--it just brought me here. So what's the scoop? What is the story about?

I loved that book. I hope it is the one I am thinking of by Wilkie Collins. I can't wait for this one. I liked Sunset Boulevard.

I heard a film star was in the recent reading. Does anyone know who?
im not a big fan of Andrew Lloyd Webber...as a man or as a composer...

I hate all ALW scores with a small exception of Cats and Phantom and Joseph. Does he even write them or does he write the book?
Yes, Andrew Lloyd Webber is a composer, not a book writer, although he has taken partial book credit for a couple of his shows.
Don't be too quick to judge, it may turn out to be quite an amazing musical. If you have ever read the book, you will find that it really has all of the elements that a musical needs, and plus it is just a really awesome book! I don't really respect Andrew Lloyd Webber as a person, but as a composer, I have nothing but respect! I am a very open - minded person, and will make my decision on the show after I have seen it. Even if you don't like Andrew Lloyd Webber, please try to give it a chance before you bash it, and remember, some of us LOVE ALW's work!!!
See Ya!

I understand loving ALW's work. I think Superstar, Evita, and Tell Me on a Sunday (the Broadway version) are all brilliant, and I love certain songs from Phantom, Aspects of Love, and The Beautiful Game. But I don't think there's been a solid, good Lloyd Webber show since Tell Me. And frankly, if Trevor Nunn's directing the new one, I don't have much hope for it. Nunn hasn't had a success as musicals go since Starlight Express.

BUT what is the show about? Inquiring minds want to know!
