I actually never know what to say in response to these. Whatever, it's nice I guess.

Last year's Word of Mouth had Tom, who was very articulate and insightful, and Ellen, who was outrageous. This year's bunch was not nearly as entertaining.
Helen says that there were "a lot of performances that were extended" at the Tonys beyond what you see on TV. She seems to be speaking specifically about the performances rather than the videos and other stuff that they show on a screen during the commercial breaks. I didn't go to see the Tonys live this year but have gone in the past and don't remember any performances being extended beyond what you see on TV. What is she referring to?

It seems like this year the performances were extended because when a number ended sometimes the refrain picked up and they went to a commercial.
Yes, I was noticing that this year.
I don't know why i like watch these so much.
I agree, bring back Tom. He was good looking and I trusted his opinions.
Will they EVER stop the N2N ads? It's creating a DEEP dislike...
I wonder if they get paid not to mention the audio problems?
I think the sound problems were only for the telecast, and they didn't really exist in the theatre. It was the TV people's fault, not the theatre people.
Alice Ripley said that she couldn't hear anything.
With only one exception (the dead mike at Guys and Dolls) the sound was perfect at the live show. You could clearly hear all the speakers and the musical numbers were fantastic. I believe Alice R. was the only one who mentioned a problem with hearing. (And you'll notice that she was the only one who shouted like that.)

Wow! Steven actually had something nice to say for once.
^^ I noticed that too. For some reason when I hear his reviews I am reminded of a bowel movement.
