"Words of Wisdom" from Musicals/Plays
#1"Words of Wisdom" from Musicals/Plays
Posted: 9/12/10 at 10:18pmI do the announcements at my high school and at the end, we always do "Words of Wisdom" and have phrases that relate to the students. Are there any from shows that would be good to use? I searched and found a general "good quotes" thread, but I wanted to see if there were any more. Thanks!

keeping with the "into the woods" theme, I always liked:
"You may know what you need, but to get what you want, better see that you keep what you have".
that one will have some people pondering for a while.....

You can't stop the beat.
Keep it positive and you pull her hair and call her a whore- maybe just the first part of that one. lol
And, a personal favorite if a little irrelevant out of context- If the end is right it justifies the beans.

"Life is around you and in you"
"No one is alone" (Into the Woods is full of words of wisdom!)
"...you've had an and and you're back to our, makes the or mean more than it did before" (again, Into the Woods)
and call me cliche, but "to love another person is to see the face of God" is a favorite of mine
