I hated the random choreography in the middle of "Be Prepared" in The Lion King! What the hell was that? A bunch of bare chested me writhing around while the ensemble portrays hyenas! it was toally uncalled for, and the music break sucke as well.
Oh, Jekyll & Hyde . . . that was just so horrible I couldn't believe it. I still have nightmares about those umbrellas.

The current production of Nine has really pathetic choreography, as did that recent revival of Man Of La Mancha. I've seen better organized riots.
To Deena Jones 2
There was choreography in " Nick & Nora" ? As far as J/H, they should have not attempted any choreography as the story does not lend itself to it. For some reason "Murder, Murder" reminds me of "Garlic" in DOTV

I know that some people hated this show~~
And even though I enjoyed it very very much I hated the "ballet" numbers in THOU SHALT NOT

Mr. Roxy,
Nick and Nora had "choreography" in which Barry Bostwick and Joanna Gleason were swirling around the stage half the time- so called "ballroom dancing"! So boring and monotonous. Obviously they weren't dancers and it showed.
And yes- good point, Garlic from DOTV and Murder from Jekyll are really quite similar in sound!!

Hairspray- boring, trite, unoriginal.
Wow there are a lot of critical folk on this board. Anyway, to whomever said that Little Shop's choreography was bad, due to simplicity, I find that to not be important - I think Little Shop is a show that doesn't need a lot of flashy choreography. I think it will be too distracting. There is no need for it. Just my 2 cents.

DOTV Finale was the worst I've ever seen. Ever. Really, really BAD.And let's not forget CARRIE which was so bad I had to tell Debbie Allen that she owed me 65.00.

EEEW! Debbie Allen. She gets my vote for worst choreographer ever seconded by Wayne Cilento! Did you hear wayne is supposed to choreograph Sweet Charity? Is he to direct as well? I'll definitely stay away...
The revival of "Into the Woods", I have to agree. There was just nothing good about that choreography. It was like watching a bad grade school production as far as that category goes.

Let us not forget THE BOY FROM OZ. You'd find better choreography patterns on the Long Island Expressway during rush hour!
