" But your complete disregard of other opinions pretty much invalidates whatever you're saying."
To you, perhaps.
And by "complete disregard," you mean to the whopping number of two people who ventured their ill-informed, ridiculous pronouncements? What "regard" should be given such poppycock, anyway? Mister Matt, I appreciate a good laugh, but really........
And If I recall correctly, there were more than a few positive reactions to this show expressed on this board when it opened. So you see, I didn't disregard other opinions after all.
How does one misconstrue an opinion into an "ill informed pronouncement"?
By that logic, pretty much all your posts are ill informed pronouncements.

You and the other poster both lack the information to declare this, or any other show the worst of the century, whether you consider century as the 21st century (you do not know what shows will be produced in the next 88 years), or the past hundred years (you do not possess the knowledge of every show produced during that time span).
Lol, when someone says something is the "worst of the century", it's inherent that they are referring to the century thus far.
But, I can see that you're just not going to accept that someone has a differing opinion than yours, so you win if it makes you happy.

It is not a question of "winning;" I am neither happy nor unhappy, since I don't care about your opinion; and if you meant the century thus far, then great.

Oh, I don't think it's hyperbole that's the bane of Broadway World.
If you care so little about my opinion then why did you spend so many posts trying to undermine it?
I'm not flattering myself, I'm sure you don't care about what I think (which is naturally mutual, btw) but I do have to wonder why you spent so much effort disagreeing with me.

You asked a question.
I did you a kindness by answering it. (To no thanks, I might add.)
You made factual errors.
I corrected them.
As for "undermining" another's opinion, no one can do that, and I wouldn't presume to try.
I didn't make any factual errors.
I never stated anything as fact at all. I said if Lucky Guy opened in 2012 it was my choice for worst show.
Belated thanks for informing me that it didn't open in 2012.
Then you implied I was being hypocritical for not googling the info. Alas, I have never chastised anyone (new or old) for not conducting a web search before asking a question, so that was a blatant fail on your part.
And finally you reduced my opinion to an "ill informed pronouncement" because you didn't realize the common understanding of the phrase "____ of the century" implies only up to the present.
I'm delighted you enjoyed Lucky Guy. I did not.

"you didn't realize the common understanding of the phrase "____ of the century" implies only up to the present. "
Common? I cite eperkins response:
"A little early for worst show of the century, so let's just stick with 2012, shall we?"
What you fail to understand is that I tried to do you a favor by making you think about the implications of what you were writing. Write precisely and clearly. That will help avoid misunderstandings and pronouncements that are, yes indeed, ill-informed and factually untenable. But let's not beat this dead horse.
As for your belated "thanks," as I'm sure you know, real thanks don't have to be prompted. But you're welcome just the same.

Emotional Creature was painful.
The Outgoing Tide was tremendously dull.
House for Sale was too bizarre for it's own good.

So "after 8" refers to his age, right? He's nine?

Thank you for you benevolence.
Allow me to reciprocate and do you a favor as well by suggesting to you that the problem is not my writing but your lack of understanding.
That one's a freebie.

Your very welcome.
And likewise please save your postage when deciding to send me a favor in the future.

"Your very welcome. "
Your wish is my command. No favors.
Hmmmmm, pointing out spelling errors seems like just the kind of favor you love to dispense.
I thought you weren't going to do me any more favors.

I didn't.
In fact, I did just as you asked. And you're still complaining!
My God, damned if you do, damned if you don't!
Mon petites, silence s'il vous plait!
AND... for WORST performance by an actor and an actress, After Eight and tazber!! Let's give them a big hand.

Like Gypsy, my French is lousy. But I stand by the awards.
I accept the award for WORST actor. I would like to thank the academy of BWW message board posters for this highest honor.
(takes out crumpled speech) I totally didn't expect to win this, but I wrote some notes here just in case.....(reading from paper):
"Thanks to the cast and crew, especially After Eight....thank you god.....(chokes up)...I used to watch people win these on TV when I was a kid....and I just never thought....(holds back tears)....I never thought a kid from a poor family could ever make it here....oh god - it's flashing 'wrap it up; 60 seconds'....um....(looks up to the sky)...this is for you Ma'."

Merci.....
I guess.
In any case, to get this thread back on track, here's another worst play that I forgot to put in my original list:
A Bullet for Adolf
