Stunt casting does much less damage to those trying to break into this business than the tiny, incestuous casting people that so many casting directors seem to favor. You can even see it done on this site. Everyone goes to the same list of 'tried and true' Broadway talents, rarely allowing for the new.
"I'm so looking forward to a time when all the Reagan Democrats are dead."
toni braxton in aida. I agree with the Mel B. and Melanie Griffith (sp?).
"Chicago is it's own incredible theater town right there smack down in the middle of the heartland. What a great city! I can see why Oprah likes to live there!" - Dee Hoty :-D
I'm with the Mel G as in Griffith camp, since it was a leading role in a dance musical--played by someone who could not sing, dance, or act. She didn't even seem to be trying.
Had to put inmy 2 cents on this one! I would have to say Rachel Welch in Victor/Victoria as well as Liza. They were asolutely the worst thing I have ever seen on stage.
"It never bothered me that she called me a c*nt, it bothered me that I answered to it!" Carol Channing about Ethel Merman filming an episode of "The Love Boat"
uuughhhh - have to agree here my friends - Ricky Martin in Les Mis. Good Lord that was painful!
"What could a computer do with a lifetime supply of chocolate? I am now telling the computer exactly what it can do with a lifetime supply of chocolate!"
i didn't mind her too much based off the rehearsal video
"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel
I don't know if he was actually good in the role, but I saw Jon Secada on TV singing "I Don't Care Much" from Cabaret on that Broadway on Broadway TV special and it made me want to fall asleep...of course it could have just been the song and not both.

I'm new on here but I thought I'd add my 2 cents...Mickey Dolenz in Aida was ATROCIOUS! He talk-sang everything and hit none of the high notes...so disappointing.
The only other ones I can think of that people havent already mentioned are: Roseanne in Wizard of Oz (MSG) Eric McCormack in The Music Man (although he was decent) Delta Burke in Millie (but again, I heard she was decent)
aaaron carter as Javert. Joey Fatone as Valjean. Hasselhoff as Fantine...oh no - wait this was a really bad dream
