I seem to recall, maybe a decade ago, hearing that Barrymore's production company was developing this as a musical. I think she mentioned it on a talk show. But if so, it doesn't seem to have gone anywhere. It is a sweet idea and hopefully would be more artfully put together than "Legally Blonde."
