Would "Never Been Kissed" Work As A Musical?

I watched it again tonight and thought that it has everything that would make a really great musical. Anyone else think it would work?
#2

Would

Josie Grossie already sounds like it could be a fun number
#3

Would

With Annaleigh Ashford

I honestly think that anything can work with the right people but I do think this could be a really fun musical.
"All our dreams can come true -- if we have the courage to pursue them." -- Walt Disney We must have different Gods. My God said "do to others what you would have them do to you". Your God seems to have said "My Way or the Highway".

What a great idea!!! I agree that with the right people, a lot of movies have potential but this could really work. Annaleigh....that's an interesting thought.

It has one of my favorite chick flick endings. Michael Vartan can run towards me anytime he wants.

Makes me cry and cry an cry every single time I watch it.

I'm going to quote it incorrectly but the

"Sorry I'm late. It took forever to get here."
"I know the feeling."

Gold! Chick flick gold!

The musical should combine Molly Shannon and David Arquette's characters. Or just do away with Molly's. It works on film but it would seem crowded on stage. If they take out David's role, they'd have to rewrite how she becomes popular.

But Molly ends up being John C. Reilly's love interest in the end. I agree that they'd have to streamline characters but it would be tough. They could cut out Octavia Spencer's part since she had 2 lines.

Who would play Coulson? Edward Watts? He may read too old. It needs an actor who comes across as older than the students but not old enough that his feelings for Josie are creepy.

"Who would okay Coulson?"

Are you drunk?
#12

Not entirely

Wesley Taylor for the brother?
#13

Would

Annaleigh Ashford for Josie
Len Cariou for Sam
Kiril Kulish for Rob
#14

Would

Adam Kantor for Coulson? I'm horrible at dream casting.
#15

Would

He reads a bit too young though, doesn't he? But I like that idea!
#16

And then you have Leelee's character and the three Barbie girls and the guy who takes her to prom.
#17

Would

Yeah, it's a big cast when you break it all down. But the three girls can just be like "Silly Girls".
#18

Would

Benjamin Walker for Coulson? Not that he would gravitate towards something this light and fluffy

I feel like it needs someone Creel-ish, but not Gavin himself
#19

Would

Benjamin Walker should only be kissing me.

I really think this could be a great musical. An inspired choice. It has all the makings of a great one.

Sharing is caring. Imagine him running across a baseball field or getting a condom flung at his face.
#22

Would

Josh Dallas as Coulson?

Wesley Taylor yes please (in many ways)
#23

Would

Wesley Taylor doesn't scream "Baseball Jock" to me.

The moment she has got stoned and is on the phone and asks who ate her pie just cracks me up.
Namo i love u but we get it already....you don't like Madonna

No agreed, but he can play straight too, especially cool and quirky and the characters background could change

Either way I think the idea is excellent. Its a more obvious idea than say Legally Blonde
